The Group is made up of 8 main management units.
- East Benula South Estate
- Mullardoch Estate
- North Affric Estate
- NTS West Affric & NTS Kintail Estate (The National Trust for Scotland)
- National Forest Estate (NFE) South Affric, NFE Fasnakyle, NFE Strathglass: all managed by Forest Enterprise Scotland (FES).
The National Forest Estate Strathglass management unit is entirely deer fenced and there are other areas of fenced woodland on the lower ground but deer movement is largely unconstrained between properties throughout the open range of the group
